Proyecto Invernadero

It is a work space offered by TierraVida aimed at young people and adults. Our objective is to promote leadership in the subject of Climate Change focused on local issues so that projects of socio-environmental impact that present solutions to the effects of this phenomenon are developed. The program provides methodological tools and links with different actors to make the ideas proposed by the new leaders come true through the project.

What is the role of Tierra vida in this program?

Since the foundation we want to be part of the change and that is why we developed this program aimed at young people who are looking for a space where they can take the step from idea to action. Within the areas of Tierra Vida, the area of Youth and Climate Change has more than ever the mission of making the global climate agenda palpable and connecting small local actions with great contributions at national and global level. We know that everything adds up, and as promoters of change and youth empowerment, we believe that by spreading good actions and promoting projects, we contribute to improving our planet.

Who is it for?

Proyecto Invernadero aims at people interested in the subject, who are proactive, observant and enthusiastic and who wish to develop their creative ability to generate proposals for action. That they can work as a team and be convinced that the actions they carry out today will contribute to leaving a better planet for future generations.

On what is it based?

The Greenhouse Project is mainly based on the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 13, which proposes: adopt urgent measures to combat climate change and its effects through improvements in education, awareness and human and institutional capacity in relation to the mitigation of climate change, reduction of its effects and early warning. This objective refers concretely to address the issue of climate change and take forward solutions that go beyond the problem.

In addition, it is based on Article 6 of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), which pursues the goal of promoting and facilitating:

The development and implementation of education and public awareness programs on climate change and its effects.
The participation of the public in the study of climate change and its effects and in the preparation of appropriate responses.
The training of scientific, technical and managerial personnel.
Cooperation at the local, national and international level.
Preparation and exchange of educational material to raise awareness of the threats of climate change.
Development and application of education and training programs.
