This initiative aims to promote youth leadership to address the challenge of climate change in Latin America, while facilitating youth participation in climate change  decision making processes. In 2012, TierraVida was admitted as an Observer Organization to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

Since 2012, TierraVida co-organizes with our partner organization Viracao (Brazil) an International Youth Media Agency that, since COP18 (Doha) covers each edition of the UNFCCC’s Conference of the Parties (COPs).

To date, more than 20+ young reporters had the opportunity to cover COP18 and COP19, producing content in a variety of formats and languages. The content is then distributed globally through media, social networks, the International Youth Media Agency website and Red+VOS network.

The next edition of the Agency will take place at COP20 in Lima (Peru), in December 2014.
